    THE THING by Alan Dean Foster (Bantam, 1982, first printing). 4 1/8" x 6 3/4", 200 pages. Paperback.
    In excellent like new condition. The ONLY flaw is that on the top of the first inside page the name LORITA SORREL has been carefully rubber stamped in quarter inch high letters! But it is in unread condition and since the cover has no spine crease I wasn't about to bend it back to show the name. And yet it is still in better condition than a copy which recently sold for 0.
