    Description

    This is a Pierce downdraft (Single Carb) intake manifold that can be used with any British "A" series 4 cyl. engine to allow performance without having to "Tune" two side draft carbs.  Then as they say "set it and forget it".  Included are the 4 studs to hold the carb and the included throttle return spring and bracket.
    This application eliminates the need for the very inferior dual carb linkage responsible for much of the finicky nature of British dual carb setups.
    Please see the full details and measurements shown in the pictures.  This has the two induction ports that are 1 - 1/4" diameter each. It can be used on any engine with corresponding fit to head and carb.  The 948 cc version of 4 the cyl. engine has slightly smaller head ports.
    I believe the Stromberg is among several carbs that can be used and I believe there is a Webber as well..  Be sure to check for proper application.
    Pierce (CA.) is notable for the finest manifold engineering and builds.  This would be a perfect candidate for exterior surface sanding to smooth any casting marks or imperfections. (see pictures).  It will work perfectly in any case where fit is right.
