    Description

4" x 6" Vintage 1931 Gelatin Silver Black and White Photograph of ARMISTEAD'S STANDARD OIL GASOLINE STATION located on the Sierra Hwy 395 near where it is presently  joined to Hwy 14 in Kern County just before crossing over into Inyo County. Other photos I will be listing are after Sid Armistead changed over to Union 76 Gasoline in late 1930s. Sid's wife Viola is shown with him in photos... and note the sign for "Beer" on side of the road.
I personally remember the building still standing though in as state of serious decay in the late 1970s thru the early1980s.
Info scripted on reverse in pencil.  From a large family collection of the Sierra Nevada in Inyo and Mono Counties.
I will combine shipping on additional photos purchased at the same time.  Please bid, then put in your cart and send bid all together, then wait for my invoice which will show
the discounted price for shipping them together.  The price will only change slightly unless the weight changes.  I cannot change the shipping once payment is made.
