    Description

    The Missouri Pacific Railroad, also known as the MoPac and the MP, was a major US carrier in the mid-western states. The product of many mergers, the MoPac traces its roots to 1851. The MoPac operated independently until it was acquired by the Union Pacific (UP) in 1997, and most surviving MoPac trackage is now a part of the UP. At its peak, the MoPac served ten states (Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas). For auction is a desk calendar from the former MP. It is for the year 1980. Holidays are printed in red, other days in blue. The front has images of an MP train and truck and a computer terminal. The back side shows a schematic map of the MP rail system and includes text on the service area.
